Some of Horror's best authors are in this collection but to be honest these are not their best stories/5(5). The late Charles L Grant knew how to pick them. Grant edited an anthology called Gallery of Horror (originally titled the Dodd Mead Gallery of Horror and published in ) and it has been on my shelves, patiently awaiting its' turn to be read, for around two decades, give or take/5.

The Konrath Horror Collective by J.A. Konrath is brutal and gory. It’s best to read these in order, but if you don’t want to commit, Trapped and Endurance are my favorites. Each book is a stand-alone story, but there is related content from book to book.
